Overnight oats are perfect to make ahead for quick and easy breakfasts. These grab and go jars are easily customizable and can be packed with your favourite grains, nuts and proteins.

There’s no cooking or baking involved, its as simple as mixing your ingredients together in a jar! You only need 3 ingredients for a simple, yet delicious breakfast.

Oats, milk and yogurt! That’s it. When chilled the oats absorb the milk and yogurt, leaving you with a creamy, soft and delicious texture, that’s best eaten cold.

  • Make Ahead – prepare these in advance on the weekends for quick weekday breakfasts.
  • Full of Nutrients – its well known that oats are great for your heart. Also, oats are filled with fiber and protein. & don’t forget all the added nutrients that can be added with your customizations!
  • Single Serving – Each jar is 1 serving on its own. You can also enjoy some and save the rest for later in the fridge.

1 | Mix
In a small mason jar, mix together your oats, yogurt and milk. The ratio I like to use is: 1/2 cup of oats. 1/2 cup of milk & 1/3 cup of yogurt. I like to add a pinch of sugar (you can use sweetener as well) to give it a bit of a sweeter taste.

2 | Soak + Chill
Place your jar in the fridge for a minimim of 2 hours. Overnight is always best, but your oats will still taste great after 2 hours.
Place your oats in an airtight container like a mason jar. My favourite are these 6 Pack Ball Mason Jars 16 oz from Amazon. If you do not have mason jars, you can use any jar as long as it is sealed and/or covered in plastic wrap.

3 | Toppings + Serve
Stir the oats in the morning before consumption, then add your favourite toppings! Some great options are; berried & fruits, nuts, chocolate chips, chocolate or strawberry syrup, the list goes on.
